A waterfall or

Installation and beginning
The ram pump
STREAM needs at least for its correct operation of water a natural fall
of a meter (1mt.). (Figure 1)

From the river,
slope, builds drains, etc. is due to lead the water until the pump by
means of a sewer of galvanized iron or reinforced plastic of 1.5 inches
(1.5 ") with an approximated length of 6 meters.
This sewer is
connected to the located entrance of 1.5 " in the front of the pump.
In the exit of
the pump the sewer or hose is connected that will take the water until
the tank for its later use.
Once totally
connected the pump and with the water circulating around the same one,
it maintains closed the escape valve during 20 seconds, soon accionela
repeatedly until it initiates the cycle of work and she continues
working single.
The ram pump
elevates a 10% of the water that around her circulates, 90% rest leave
by the valve escape returning to the drain or river.
The amount of liters per high hour of water
will depend on the fall whereupon it feeds the pump and the height to
which the water will be due to elevate.
Once in
operation and to optimize the pump duty, they are possible to be fit the
counterbalances of the escape valve and/or to be increased or to be
diminished the length of the race of the piston rod.
